institute at Uzhydromet

A meeting of the scientific council was held on February 15, 2023.

The meeting discussed the dissertation work of Sherzod Shuhratovich Zaitov (2019-2023), a doctoral student of HSRI, on the topic “Monitoring the dynamics of pasture plants in the desert and semi-desert regions of Uzbekistan using remote sensing data under the conditions of climate change.” Specialty 11.00.04 – Meteorology, Climatology. Agrometeorology.Scientific adviser: d..g.s. prof. Arushanov M.L.

On February 10, 2023, HSRI celebrated the institute’s anniversaries: c.ph-m.s. Starovatov Alek Alekseevich – 85 years old and head of the laboratory of mathematical modeling of hydrological processes and water resources of the hydrology department – c.ph-m.s. Pak Alexander Vasilevich – 70 years old.

The event was festive and positive: Starovatov Alek Alekseevich. With the direct participation of Alek Alekseevich, the geophysical service of Uzgidromet was organized, experiments were conducted and heliogeophysical data processing, solar and geomagnetic activity forecasts were developed, many practical problems of geophysics, including transition conditions, radio waves in the atmosphere were solved. A.A. Starovatov created […]

Meeting of representatives of SRIOH and Uzgidromet with experts from Chuo University and Ministry of Environment of Japan on “Development and improvement of national inventory of greenhouse gases”

During the meeting, the Japanese side presented general approaches on the use of remote sensing data from GOSAT satellites to improve the estimation of greenhouse gas emissions on the example of a project previously implemented in Mongolia as part of the preparation of a climate report for the UNFCCC. SRIOH and Uzgidromet experts presented information […]
