Scientists and researchers of the Ministry of Ecology, the Hydrometeorological Service Agency, the Scientific Research Institute of Hydrometeorology are studying the experience of monitoring, assessment, mapping and targeted scientific research on the impact of climate change and land use on natural resources, ecosystems and environmental protection.

To this end, on September 18-22, representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, the Hydrometeorological Service Agency, the Hydrometeorological Research Institute, together with USGS specialists visited the hydrological station of the Colorado River. During the visit, USGS hydrologists presented modern methods for automatic and manual processing of hydrological data collection.

The delegation of Uzbekistan became familiar with new methods for monitoring snow cover, its accumulation and forecasting, new innovative technologies for monitoring snow cover, new automatic stations for monitoring the chemical composition, humidity and mass of snow, as well as methods and approaches for hydrological monitoring.
