On October 28-29, the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology hosted an international seminar on the topic “Interdependence of water-energy, food-food and environment in the Aralboi region (https://uza.uz/uz/posts/halqaro-loyiha-suv-resurslarini-boshqarish-ishlari-yaxshilanmoqda_651456)”.

Project specialists, experts, scientists conducting scientific researches in the areas of water resources management, ensuring the safety of food products, large water facilities and systems in the Fergana Valley participated in the seminar organized within the framework of the international NEXUS Gains and Hydro 4U projects implemented in our country. representatives participated. At the event, there was a detailed discussion about the work being carried out within the framework of the project, the effective use of existing water resources, the use of advanced water-saving technologies in irrigation, the important aspects of ensuring food safety, and a number of other issues related to the topic.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Tahirjon Sultanov, rector of the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agro-Technology, Zafarbek Gafurov, researcher of the Central Asia Office of the International Institute of Water Resources Management, spoke about the goals and tasks of the seminar, the importance of the international NEXUS Gains and Hydro 4U projects, which are being carried out within the framework of the project. extensive information was given about the work, opinions and comments were expressed.

On the second day of the seminar, the working groups of the seminar developed proposals and recommendations on improving the system of creating water resources, important issues in this regard, expanding the capabilities of small hydroelectric power stations, and strengthening cooperation in the field of water management.

Junior researchers of HSRI also participated directly and received a lot of new information.
