An event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Yuriy Mikhailovich Denisov, a distinguished scientist, the pride of HSRI, a professor with a doctor of technical sciences, a distinguished irrigator in Uzbekistan, one of the leading hydrologists in Central Asia and the CIS countries, was held at the meeting of the Scientific Council of HSRI.

Yuriy Mikhailovich Denisov was the first in the former Soviet Union to develop a mathematical model of the flow of mountain rivers and the formation of snow cover in the mountains.
Yu.M. Denisov’s in-depth scientific research of a fundamental nature is multifaceted, and it is possible to list a number of works on creating a mathematical model of plant cover using the technology of mathematics, theoretical physics, biocybernetics, bioclimatology, cloud physics, agrometeorology, agrotechnology of cotton yield, agroclimate.
The invaluable scientific legacy of Yuriy Mikhaylovich will be useful for researchers conducting research on modeling of hydrological and hydrometeorological processes, long-term and short-term forecasting of river flows.
The bright memory of Yuriy Mikhaylovich will remain in our hearts forever.
