Checking the weather just got easier: a new Telegram bot launched in Uzbekistan





The Telegram bot @ob_havo_prognoz_bot enables users to receive accurate and up-to-date weather information in a convenient format. It is developed based on data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and provides reliable short-term forecasts tailored to the user’s location.





With the help of the bot, users can access information on upcoming precipitation, temperature changes, wind speed, and other key meteorological indicators. In addition, every day at 08:00, users automatically receive updated forecasts for the coming days, along with alerts about potential hazardous weather events.










One of the key features of the project is the ability to view graphical data showing temperature trends for each district over the past 50 years.





The Institute is also open to сотрудничество with both public and private sector organizations. Based on the platform’s capabilities, it is possible to develop sector-specific standards that take climate factors into account for agriculture, energy, and water management, as well as to provide analytical services and scientific-practical solutions.





The Hydrometeorological Research Institute has also obtained a copyright certificate for this development from the Ministry of Justice. The new bot creates additional opportunities for the effective use of meteorological data, improving the resilience of economic sectors, and enhancing overall efficiency.
